10 goals once I make it into Parliament.
To establish what perks politicians receive and null them, ensuring that political members only receive salary and perks whilst working for the people. No more kickbacks once out of office, also if they can access super before other members of society putting a halt to this also. The same rules apply to all.
Taking a hard look at legislation and making it easier to understand and interpret, ensuring that the desires of the people is reflected within the legislation and ensuring the courts cease with prolonging proceedings and / or excessive punishment or under punishment is addressed. An example of issue such as intruders within a person’s home are not able to take legal action should they injure themselves or be injured, and allowing occupants to defend themselves and their property with the protection of the law, simply don’t intrude in another’s home. (This is just an example of one piece of legislation and put in simple terms not as it would be written or put forward) (Simplify laws by putting relevant pieces of legislation together into one act/regulation/law as opposed to a variety)
Re-establishing ownership of utilities back to the people and government managed not privatized, allowing for infrastructure that could potentially be leased for businesses but not ownership.
Establishing and encouraging new ideas such as Hemp farming and industries surrounding this, less water required and has uses such as making paper etc less requirement to have massive amounts of pine forests which are destructive to the environment in themselves.
I aim to be a contactable and active member of parliament within the community that I am representing this is why I will be running as an independant for Spence in the next Federal Election.
To encourage and promote everyday Australians to step up and attempt to represent their local communities within parliament and councils and push the major parties to have more reflective community based representatives themselves. (not vote for the party, vote for the candidate)
To educate people in how the voting system works and look to have politics and the election system explained and taught within school for students approaching adulthood.
To get back to basics and ensure that government is not over reaching into peoples lives, that government is focusing on what it is designed to do which is maintaining the infrastructure for the people to grow as individuals and as a country.
To speak with and understand issues within my region and address these with the aim to assist others to achieve the closure or results they seek.
Cut back on government bureaucracy as in excessive government organizations doing the same role but not working together, ensuring that the system runs with more fluid movement and is responsive to the needs of the stakeholders being the general public. (trim the fat and ensure that front line is addressed as opposed to management roles, to many cooks spoil the broth)
